Boiler Servicing

One of the simplest ways of maximising income from your property portfolio is to ensure that services on your gas boilers are carried out regularly, in accordance with manufacturers' instructions. Usually that means an annual gas boiler service is required.

Proper gas boiler servicing will ensure that your boiler runs more efficiently, will be safer (you have a duty to protect your tenants and accidents could cost you dear) and will have a much longer working life.

Neglected gas boilers can be a principal source of leaks and carbon monoxide (CO). You can't see it, smell it or taste it, but at its worst it can kill.

The landlord must provide the tenant with a copy of the gas safety certificate within 28 days of it being carried out and a copy must be given to all new tenants.
